Project Management Framework
The project management framework shown below was developed for an international insurance company with numerous regional development / deployment centers. The framework was introduced to provide a structured methodology supported by defined processes. Each phase of the methodology has clear entrance and exit criteria to provide project teams with guidelines to determine readiness to move to the next phase.
The new framework was deployed globally. Before deployment baseline project management knowledge and skills were set for all project managers regardless of their experience or proficiency level. Training for the new framework was conducted in each of the three major development / deployment centers. The core training focused on the methodology with high-level overviews of the supporting processes. The entrance and exit criteria were also covered. Subsequent training was provided for each process with detailed review, discussion, and practice sessions with the templates and tools provided with each process.
